The Salinas Valley Basin Groundwater Sustainability Agency (Agency) released this Request for Proposals (RFP) to solicit interest in well construction services for locating, drilling, and constructing monitoring wells in the Langley Area, Eastside Aquifer, Forebay Aquifer, Upper Valley Aquifer, and Monterey Subbasins. There were two sets of Technical Specifications for work included in the bid: One set of Technical Specifications for the Langley Area, Eastside Aquifer, Forebay Aquifer, Upper Valley Aquifer and one set of Technical Specifications for the Monterey Subbasin. The fourteen monitoring wells were proposed to be located in Monterey County rights-of-way.

Description

The Agency searched for bids from qualified persons or organizations to provide well construction services for locating, drilling, and constructing four new 4-inch diameter dedicated monitoring wells, three to be screened in the Deep Aquifers below the 180-Foot and 400-Foot Aquifers and one screened in the 180-Foot Aquifer. One monitoring well was proposed to be located at the City of Salinas Industrial Waste Facility off of South Davis Road. Three monitoring wells were proposed to be located in Monterey County rights-of-way near the City of Gonzales, on the North side of Blackie Road, and between the City of Salinas and Chualar.
