Monterey County 5th District Supervisor Mary Adams and the Salinas Valley Basin
Groundwater Sustainability Agency invites residents of the Monterey Subbasin to a
community meeting to learn about the Monterey Subbasin Groundwater Sustainability Plan.
This area includes Laureles Grade east to Reservation Road along the Highway 68 corridor,
such as Corral de Tierra, San Benancio, Toro Park, Serra Village, and the Las Palmas
neighborhoods.

Attendees will have the opportunity to meet staff and scientists who have studied the
groundwater supply. Key takeaways will include learning about:

  • The science behind your groundwater resources
  • The current condition of your groundwater supply
  • The course that is being set to keep Monterey groundwater sustainable
  • What you and your neighbors can do to help move your water supply towards sustainability
