Monitoring well update: Final completion report available on new groundwater monitoring wells

A final report on the completion of four groundwater monitoring wells in the Salinas Valley, including the first round of groundwater testing from these wells, is now available. These wells, constructed with grant funds, provide valuable data about groundwater elevations and help to understand how groundwater levels fluctuate over time in response to changes in groundwater recharge and pumping.

The report gives an overview of the work done to install the monitoring wells in the 180/400-Foot Aquifer Subbasin. Funding for the wells came from the California Department of Water Resources Sustainable Groundwater Management Round 1 Implementation Grant, which supports the implementation of the Groundwater Sustainability Plan in this subbasin.
