The Framework Agreement for the Monterey Basin Groundwater Sustainability Plan (GSP) between the Marina Coast Water District Groundwater Sustainability Agency (MCWDGSA) and the SVBGSA established a Steering Committee. The purpose of this Committee is to provide a forum for the two agencies to:
- Coordinate GSP development in the 180/400 Foot Aquifer and Monterey Subbasins
- Oversee activities carried out under the Framework Agreement
The Committee consists of the General Manager and one Board member from each agency’s Board of Directors for a total of four members. The Committee is subject to the Brown Act and meets at least once every calendar quarter unless otherwise specified. The Committee does not have decision-making authority but does make recommendations to each agency’s respective Board of Directors.
