The Forebay Subbasin Groundwater Sustainability Plan (GSP) Implementation Agreement between the SVBGSA and the Arroyo Seco Groundwater Sustainability Agency (ASGSA) established a Coordination Committee. The purpose of this Committee is to provide a forum for the two agencies to:
- Consult on the progress of implementing the Forebay GSP and achieving sustainability in the Forebay Subbasin and Implementation Areas
- Discuss the implementation or elimination of management actions, projects or funding mechanisms in each agency’s Implementation Area to ensure that those actions do not negatively impact or impede the goal of sustainability as required by the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act (SGMA).
The Committee consists of two Board members from each agency’s Board of Directors for a total of four members. The Committee is subject to the Brown Act and meets at least once every calendar quarter unless otherwise specified. The Committee does not have decision-making authority but does make recommendations to each agency’s respective Board of Directors.
