On December 16, 2022, Salinas Valley Groundwater Sustainability Agency (SVBGSA) submitted a grant application for a California Department of Water Resources (DWR) SGMA Implementation Round 2 Grant. DWR states that over $200 million in Grant funds will be awarded in a competitive process to medium and high priority groundwater basins. DWR received 82 applications requesting over $780 million in grant funds. DWR is currently in the process of reviewing and scoring applications. SVBGSA will be keeping our fingers crossed!
