The Salinas Valley Basin Groundwater Sustainability Agency (SVBGSA) is seeking applicants for a vacancy on its Advisory Committee. The Advisory Committee develops recommendations to the SVBGSA Board of Directors on the development of groundwater sustainability plans for the Salinas Valley aquifer subbasins in keeping with the California Sustainability Groundwater Management Act. The Committee is a group of 25 community members representing diverse sectors of the community and who are appointed by the Board of Directors. The Committee meets on the third Thursday monthly from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., with meetings regularly held in Salinas. Meeting information may be viewed at svbgsa.org/meetings.

The current vacancy on the Committee is for a rural residential well owner representing North Monterey County. Interested persons may request an application form from Ann Camel, Clerk of the Board, by emailing camela@svbgsa.org Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
