Donna Meyers has accepted a position with Regional Government Services and has been assigned to the Salinas Valley Basin Groundwater Sustainability Agency in the capacity of Deputy General Manager. Donna is known to many in the valley through her work with the Salinas River Stream Maintenance Program and her position on the GSA Advisory Committee. Donna brings a wealth of experience in collaborative resource management, water and watershed programs, planning and local government.
Donna will provide additional capacity for completing SVBGSA’s first Groundwater Sustainability Plans and advancing the next round of Plans. General Manager Gary Petersen announced, “I am personally excited about this important step forward for the SVBGSA and look forward to working with Donna on the many challenges associated with SGMA and the Salinas Valley.” It is anticipated that Donna will assume her duties in August 2019.
